What Am I Talking About Anyway?

Welcome All!

So here it is in a nutshell.  I am at a precipice, the edge, and the start of something new…  I have reached that jumping off point in my life where everything around me is changing, yet I am at peace.  I guess I am in the eye of the storm.

Anyway, the story behind this blog is this.   I have a passion and a gift for writing.  It is something I have always enjoyed.  The ability to craft letters into words and words into sentences and sentences into paragraphs and paragraphs into something more intrigues me.  I enjoy writing things down the Spirit of God places on my heart and watching to see whom it can impact.  Therein lies the problem.

You see, up until recently, I haven’t been focused on writing.   I have been focused on everything else, because the “everything else” demanded so much of my attention.  I guess that got God’s attention because He has begun removing things from my life to get my attention.  Ironically enough, I am ok with that.  So today is where it begins.  I have no idea what God has in store for me.  Part of me wishes I did, but most of me is content to just hang on for the ride.

So now I have created this “Words For The Kingdom” blog.   Even the title has a story.  It refers to my need to write, not for my own glory but for His.  And to write, not for the day-to-day incidentals that we all face, but for how to make it through those “incidentals” and leave a lasting impact on His Kingdom, on the things Eternal.

So that is to be the aim of this blog.  Nothing more than one man with a passion for words, (as anyone who knows me can attest to!) who hopes to share with you some things that God has blessed me with an ability to share.   If there is anything in this that touches you or helps you, I give all credit to the One who has created in me anything that is good.  I am just the conduit; He is the Message giver.

One last thing…I liken my writing to a pitcher of water being tipped over and poured out.  I sometimes get inspired to write and just follow where the Spirit leads me.  So if things seem a little random, that is why!
